Gluten Free Sausage & Apple Stuffing
½ C. Butter 8 C. Cornbread, break
1 Small Apple, chopped up into chunks
½ C. Onion, chopped 1 T. Thyme, minced. 1 Celery stalk, slice 1 T. Sage, minced
1 16 oz. breakfast sausage 2 C. Chicken Broth
On med heat melt butter in large pot, add apple, onion, celery, cook till softened, add sausage and cook till brown. Remove from heat and add cornbread, herbs and broth mix well, cover and let rest 5 min, fluff with fork and serve. Can be made ahead and heated in a buttered casserole for 30 minutes at 350.
