English nearly Killed me
Four years ago I was an Assistant Manager at a large national bank; I loved my job my co-workers and my customers. I always thought I would retire from that job, four years ago I was laid off. No one was more surprised than I was, at first I just enjoyed staying home. Two years later, I was really ready to get back to work. I quickly found out that my skills were industry specific. So, at the age of 58 I decided to go to college to update my resume. I put off English as long as possible. It had been so long since I had been in school I needed to talk two classes. I found they were available together in a ten unit class, oh my I had no idea how much homework that required, I thought it would never end. I loved the class but it was exhausting not to mention the hour drive (each way) three times a week. My hard work was rewarded with an A, I can hardly believe it myself. It is finally over and I am finally able to write again.
We had a wonderful train trip with both Moms and a fun Thanksgiving. The Moms kept the whole train care amused with their antics and stories. I am so glad we made the trip, it was a fun girl's day, we spent hours laughing and catching up. When we took her home she hugged be and told me how much fun she had. Mom can't wait for her next adventure.
My house is finally decorated and today I began planning a fun family day with my niece and her young family. We are waiting till tomorrow to buy our tree and decorate it with the grandkids, they are arriving tonight. It is going to be a fun two weeks with my Alaska kids and my sweet Lia and her wonderful Mommy.
Wednesday we are having a tea party with my niece and her family; I can hardly wait to share some fun with her sweet little girls and new little boy. I bought Christmas party hats and we will have some fun making crafts and just enjoying each other.
