Thanksgiving is almost here!
I am so excited, I bought the tickets for our "girl's train trip" yesterday. It is going to be such a fun trip with the two Mom's in my life. We will be leaving at 3:03 from Tacoma and arriving in Eugene Oregon around 8:40. We are staying at the Hilton, they offer shuttle service and they are only one block away. In the morning we will have brunch with my sister and sister and brother in law They are bringing Toby ( my mother in law) to Eugene from Grants Pass. Our train home leaves at 12:46 and we will be home at 6:45. Mom and I love the beautiful water views on the train and can't wait to share them with Toby, she has never been on a train. It's going to be a lovely ride with lots of stories and shared jokes between the three of us. What a great way to start the holiday.
Our family has a tradition on holidays of eating Panettone ( a lovely fruit bread ) with coffee for breakfast and they at 11:00 we have hors d'oeuvres. Everyone has their favorites so I generally make a little of everything. We have our menu planned and our shopping list made, today we decided what platters and serving dishes we would use. This year Gerry's cousin Heather and her Beau will be joining us, so we will have 8 adults. Its going to be so much fun. I found these cute serving dishes and a nice fluted baking dish with my daughter Crystal the other day at Fred Meyers aren't they cute? They will be a nice addition to our table.

I only recommend products I like and think you might enjoy. If I don’t like something you will know, because I find it impossible to keep silent.
There are so many different variations to try from the basic raisin and assorted dried fruits, it's a wonderful way to start the day with coffee, tea, or hot chocolate.
This year we are ordering these
three for Christmas because we will have a full house of ten adults and our three wonderful grandchildren. I hope you will try one and let me know what you think, maybe a new tradition will be created for your family.
